Shipping delays due to flooding
New South Wales and Queensland flood impacts
Please find the below update regarding the impacts of the NSW and QLD floods:
- Heavy rain and flooding are disrupting services in impacted areas of New South Wales and Queensland.
- This will disrupt our ability to deliver to merchants and consumers, and to make collections.
- We are making every effort to support customers where it is safe to do so.
- Our transport and deliveries teams are continually assessing flood impacts and we will make every effort to deliver and collect where it is safe to do so.
- Several Post Offices will also be closed across the state due to flooding and road closures.
- We will continue to provide updates on impacts and management as we work through the situation over the coming days.
- The safety of our people and customers remains our highest priority.

Air Network Update
- Due to flooding, there will be no flights to Brisbane airport tonight.
- There will be minimal pick-up volumes ex BNE, and inbound items ex SYD and MEL will be transported via road, subject to road conditions.
- There will be delays on Express Post ex Queensland.
- To service the Queensland network, including North Queensland, flights to Brisbane will be re-scheduled to bypass Brisbane airport.
- We will manage NXF and other urgent/sensitive items via PAX flights.
- Services to and from Gold Coast airport tonight have been cancelled. Additional capacity has been added to the Network to replace the SYD MEL SYD sectors. We will continue to monitor the situation and resume air services when it is safe to do so.
- Some International Charters and other committed flights may be impacted due to staffing issues.
Deliveries
- BPF – site is accessible; we will monitor volumes Monday – Wednesday to determine weekend operations.
- Arundel, Bundall, Burleigh, Darra, Nerang, Logan City, Yatala, Heathwood, Stapylton – deliveries suspended today.
- Redbank, GCPF, Caloundra, Nambour, Caboolture, Burpengary, Narangba, Stafford, Rural regions – deliveries will be attempted today.

Local road closures, safety measures and access issues are also affecting deliveries in flood-affected areas with limited delivery to the postcodes below and resulting in the closure of several post offices.
